Alternatives to BugHerd, Pastel, SureFeedback and Atarim
If your clients are on WordPress, Pautio costs €59/year; the other four cost between $119 and $804 a year to start. It has no per-seat pricing and keeps the comments in your own database. If they aren't, here's what to use instead.

Choose Pautio if
- Your clients' sites are on WordPress.
- You want to pay one flat license, not an amount per seat or per month.
- You'd rather your clients' comments stay on your server.

- You review sites that aren't WordPress: BugHerd or Pastel.
- You need your own Kanban boards: BugHerd.

Pautio or SureFeedback
It's the other self-hosted plugin for WordPress. Its self-hosted version starts at $119/year, works with a “parent” plugin and a connector on every site, and its MCP server exists only in the Cloud version. On wordpress.org there are reviews from 2024 to 2026 describing comments that aren't saved or don't move.
With Pautio

Stick with SureFeedback If you need its central dashboard for many sites and you already have it set up.
Pautio or BugHerd
SaaS from $42/month with 5 members, that is $504 a year to start. User reviews cite the browser extension as a barrier for non-technical clients.

Stick with BugHerd If your clients aren't only on WordPress or you need your own Kanban boards.
Pautio or Pastel
Proxy-based SaaS from $29/month, $348 a year. Its own help center recommends an extension when the proxy fails on some sites.

If you already use another tool
Pautio doesn't import comments from other tools. Finish the reviews you have open where they are and open your next round in Pautio. You can keep both installed in the meantime.
